May 1st – Bob Bowser, Dr. Mudd House Museum
March 6th, 2018 – Mr. Tony Covington, State’s Attorney, for spoke about his office’s initiatives that will make a difference in the community.
Feb. 6th, 2018 – Ron Walls Jr., Spiderman, spoke about the volunteer work and fundraising events he does. We admire the work he does to bring joy to children who really need it when they aren’t feeling their best. 🕷
Nov. 7, 2017 – Jim Aanestad, Secretary of the Maryland Veteran’s Museum, spoke passionately and proudly of the museum that displays an important part of Maryland’s history. Jim is also a veteran and the grandfather of Heidi, one of our club members.
We are sorry to hear that Jim had passed away in December of 2017, shortly after speaking to our group! Thoughts and prayers go out to his family!
Georgia A. Eaves, Lt. Governor of Division 3 , introduced herself to our club and spoke about her goals in her new leadership position in Kiwanis.

Sharon Mudd spoke to the group about her daughter’s experience with finding a bone marrow donor and the organization “Be the Match”.

Bethany Goodwin – Youth in Transition/Foster Care Coordinator
She spoke about the growing need in our school system to help those considered homeless or in foster care. Our club was able to make a donation to help a family with school supplies/clothes for the start of the school year.
